Dental Assistant Training Program

The Dental Assistant Training Program is an auxiliary portion of our Critical Core Concepts course that trains assistants on how to competently and confidently assist in dental implant and dental implant-related procedures.

This program is held concurrently to the Critical Core Concepts course, wherein, assistants participate in the main program and in a tailored break-away session that enables them to efficiently assist in implant surgeries and procedures.

This program is hosted in La Crosse, WI.

Course objectives:

  • Understanding of room set-up, sterilization, and maintenance of implant instruments
  • Competence with radiology, including care and maintenance of tools and how to take CT images
  • Competence in pre-op and post-op patient care and instruction
  • Comprehensive of implant protocols, including patient consultation, surgery, prosthetic appointments (including impression protocols) and long-term patient maintenance and care
  • Understanding of guided and non-guided implant surgery, and how efficient assistance can streamline implant processes
  • Understanding of key implant information needed to effectively communicate with laboratories for best restorative results
  • Understanding of accurate, effective record keeping for implant patients and cases
