Dr. Akhikar has lived in the Chicago area since 2007 and serves as the Senior Clinical Director and dentist at a large Chicago area practice, 1st Family Dental. Dr. Akhikar has a profound belief that there is no activity more rewarding than improving another person’s quality of life. Through the practice of advanced dentistry, he focuses on assisting his patients in living a more confident life with a sparkling, healthy smile.
Education and background
Dr. Joseph Akhikar graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine with High Honors. He then completed a postgraduate study and residency program in Advanced General Dentistry, where he earned the Best Clinical Performance Award. He was awarded Diplomat of the American Dental Implant Association and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
